So How does this really work?
Simple, Join the club as a financial member Au$1,750.00, complete your complimentary training and purchase credits which allow you to reserve time on the vessels as and when you require them.

You refer to credits to buy time on the boats what is a credit?
1 credit is equal to Au$1.00

So how much is it to book the boats?
That is dependant on the size of the vessel, the time of the year and the length of booking. But to give some examples of a typical booking week as seen in the members section.

Is their anything else that I have to pay on top of my membership fee, boat credits and the fuel I use?

  • No, there really isn't. You can choose to lower your insurance excess or purchase a skipper, catering and beverages but that is all at your discretion.

Do I have to have a boating license to become a member?

  • Yes, if you are to skipper the boat yourself.
  •  Overseas International locations may require specific licensing, all of which will be confirmed at the point of booking.
  • No, if you want us to provide a skipper which is an additional charge. Charges for skippers vary per location and will be confirmed at the point booking.

I'm new to boating can you train me?

  • Yes. The majority of our members are new to boating when they join.
  • Included in your membership fee is a complimentary comprehensive practical course on boat handling and familiarisation, instructed by experienced and qualified instructors.

If I decide I would like someone else to skipper the vessel for the day is this available?

  • Yes, whilst completing your booking you will have the option of selecting a skipper for the day.
  • Rates are vary per location but will be available during the booking process.
  • Some locations and some boats require a professional skipper at all times e.g. bookings in the Middle East and the larger vessels over 47ft.

How often can I use the boats?

  • There is no limit, maximum or minimum, you simply book the vessel as and when you need one.

Who can I take on the boat on my booking days?

  • Whoever you like, each vessel has a maximum occupancy and you are legally required not to exceed this figure.

Now can I take it out over night?

  • Yes, no problem, however the vessel must be at anchor or moored from dusk until dawn.

Do you supply bedding and picnic/ cutlery sets?
No, you need to bring them with you.

So what about toilets?
Every vessel has a fully functional toilet supplied with the correct toilet paper and liquid soap.

How long is a days booking?

  • The booking period is from 09.30am until 07.30am.  22hours Total.

Do you offer half day bookings?

  • We do offer partial days which come at a reduced credit value, these days are effectively half days either 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm. The half day availability will be flagged in the member section when released.
  • These half day bookings are available regularly and tie in with our maintenance program.

Is their any flexibility in the start/ finish times?

  • Yes there is, but all is dependant on the booked usage pre and post your cruise. Requested times of departure are established prior to the cruise commencing via email.

How does a typical booking work?

  • Simple really, you make the booking departing the location you want, on the vessel of your choice and ensure you have enough prepaid credits to service the booking.
  • 2 days prior to your cruise you will receive via email, a weather report and a request to notify what time you are expecting to arrive to take the boat out.
  • You arrive at the location, collect the keys and enjoy your cruise.

And on return of the vessel?

  • Pass the keys over to a member of our team, remove your personal belongings and leave the rest to us.
  • We clean and detail the vessel, re-fuel ready for the next member usage.
  • You will receive an invoice for payment of your fuel bill within 24hours.
  • We will debit your credit card for the fuel usage. 

What is the Fuel deposit you mention?

  • At the point of making your first cruise booking you will be prompted to make a $500 fuel security deposit, which acts as security against any fuel you consume. The $500 is held for the life of your financial membership and returned when the membership is terminated and all outstanding bills paid.

Can I get to try other boats in the club?

  • Yes, once your training is complete you can try all the vessels within the club.

You have indicated that I can use boats at other locations, is this true?

  • Yes, you can book online for any of our locations.
  • We will advise members of new locations as they are added.

Even internationally?

  • Yes, as a member you are entitled to book for any location, however local laws and licensing requirements will apply.

Will I be covered by your insurance?

  • Yes, you will be covered by a comprehensive insurance policy which covers you and your group.
  • Usual terms apply, full written terms and conditions are available here.

What happens in the event of an accident?

  • We appoint a local repairer, if the repair is less than the excess we advise you to pay direct to avoid an insurance claim.
  • If the amount exceeds the excess on the insurance policy then the maximum you pay is the excess premium and we will proceed with an insurance claim.

What happen in the event of mechanical breakdown?

  • Each vessel and location has an association with a local marine rescue agency.
  • A contact list is present at the helm detailing important contact information.

What happens in the case of bad weather?

  • If bad weather prevents you from taking your planned cruise you can defer to an alternative date, subject to availability and conditions with in your membership term.
  • The Club has the final say regarding boat operations under severe weather conditions
  • Vessels will not be authorised to operate in wind conditions that exceed 25Knts at the time of scheduled departure

What happens if I book a day but then need to cancel?

  • This is no problem, if you cancel 7 days prior to the cruise your credits are held for another booking with in your membership term.
  • If you cancel within 7 days of the cruise 30% of the fee is lost and the remainder reserved as credits for the next cruise again with in your membership term.
  • Cancellation within 48hrs of the cruise and all credits are forfeited.

I see there is Sports cruisers do you have fishing boats?

  • Yes we do.
  • Not in all locations but by simply using the search options you can see the fishing options available.

Do you have a refund policy?

Is it safe to pay online with my credit card?

  • There is no need for concern. Our website uses a 128 bit SSL encryption certificate to keep your information safe online. This keeps all your personal information safe from unauthorized transmissions.

What credit cards do you accept?

  • We accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express
